When should International students apply for July 2023 intake in Australia?

Stage 3: Eligibility Criteria for Intakes 2023 in Australia

Academic Qualifications Documents:

English Language Proficiency Test:

You can sit for either of these three tests as most universities allow scores from either of these tests, which shows your English proficiency. You will require for registering for this test a month before the date you want to sit for it.

  • IELTS: Scholars can receive IELTS results within 3 to 5 days from their IELTS account; however, the scores on paper will be available after the 13th day of the test date. This test includes Listening, Writing, Reading, and Speaking. Also, it is scored out of 9 bands where you should score above 6 to get into good universities. This test score is valid for 2 years.
  • TOEFL: Similar to IELTS, this test also has four segments including reading, writing, listening, and speaking. People opting to request copies before the exam date will receive them by mail within 11 to 15 days from the date of the exam taken. This score is valid for 2 years.
  • PTE: PTE has three sections; Reading, Speaking & Writing, and Listening. An email is sent within 5 days after the test is taken about the test score by email. Most scholars prepare for 2 months or so before they sit for these exams. Hence, always sit for such exams after ample preparation.

GRE or GMAT Scores

Both GRE/GMAT are pre-requisite tests that allow you to fill certain criteria that universities of Australia have set for international scholars. GRE result is used for admission purposes to different types of graduate programs. It is ideal for students to take GRE if they seek to pursue MBA, MS, thesis work, etc. in Australia. These test scores are available within 10 to 15 days from the date of the exam. Experts suggest taking this exam within 60 to 90 days before applying for their first university application. The test score is valid for 5 years; from the exam day. However, take the test only after you’re fully prepared as it is quite challenging for scholars.
On, the other hand, GMAT scores are widely used when applying for business schools. This exam is a must for people opting for MS Finance, MBA, Management studies PhD (DBA), MS Business Analytics, etc. GMAT scores of 650 or more are highly accepted by business schools for scholars looking to Pursue MBA.
The unofficial score is available on-screen as soon as an individual finishes the test. The official test score is available after 7 days from the date of the exam. However, it might take a maximum of 20 days for the official report’s availability. Both GRE and GMAT are quite challenging exams; thus, people prepare for them for at least 2-3 months or more depending on their ability. Most top scorers spend over 120-130 hours studying on average before sitting for the exam.

These include:
Loans: Educational loans are available for students who can offer various documents to the bank that involve course details, CoE, and certain other documents. Upon approval of a loan, people should opt for a visa.

  • SOP: Statement of Purpose or SOP is essential for people. It is what you need to submit with other visa documents to let the other authorities know, why you are planning to visit Australia.
  • Medical: Medical report is necessary when applying for a visa because it shows how healthy you are. Also, it shows that you are up-to-date with all vaccinations and more.
