Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is a continued program for those who already undertook Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and would want to further enhance their knowledge in the field, which can boost an early childhood educator’s credibility. The biggest advantage of a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is that it will further increase an educator’s pre-existing knowledge about the industry. It will also give them the responsibility to create and implement programs for the children to participate in. This course will train them to develop activities that promote the wellbeing of a child, nurture their creativity, and foster their development. A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care will also better prepare participants in working with families of the kids, the community of the care center, and the team involved in the facility.

• Completion of Australian Year 11 or equivalent
• Additional Requirement: Participants must undertake National Police and Work with Children checks before commencing work placement.
• Note: Older students, who do not meet the admission requirements listed above, may be allowed entry on the basis of their work experience.

The duration of the course is 52 weeks.
